We have been busy. Very busy.
We had a major set back. We have so much to share but I don’t want to do this all at once.
First things first. We made a major mistake in our shop set up. A few weeks ago we looked at each other and realized we didn’t buy the CNC Machines we needed to in order to make the kind of instruments we have been dreaming about. After months of configuration, programing, numerous jigs, new vacuum tables, stewies milk shakes and unwanted visits from Jake and the Town…..Josh and I decided to sell all 3 of the Step Craft Machines and move in a different direction.
Initially, we were drawn to Step Craft because of the tool changing capability and the fact that there is a Step Craft shop 2 hours away. However we discovered these weren’t the right application for our application.
We have heard Laguna time and time again and we looked at each other and felt that was the way to go. We were right.
After selling all 3 machines within just a few days, we secured a Laguna IQ in Maryland. Josh went all the way down there with the Mighty Lucas (andre from outkast 3000) P. They were able to bring the machine safely back to NY and we were up and running immediately.
We had success in the first test. We are on the right path. We have our first actual prototype body. Walnut on Poplar. I am going to put this through the test.
Now that we are making progress, I will be sharing more often.
That is it for now, many updates coming.
Onward and Upward. B to the G.
